Hello all! I am a special education teacher and a digital technology junkie. Special education isn't what it used to be. We don't finish up worksheets or take tests. In fact, the majority of my day is spent co-teaching in the general education classrooms. We are actively engaged every day in intensive instruction and hands-on learning. Students who struggle with deficits in traditional reading, writing, and math, are finding success in creation-based and inquiry-based learning. By teaching non-traditionally, our students are making great academic gains. Tools, like those funded through Donors Choose, help us reach our students on a whole new level. Thank you!
