Learning how to grow your own food can be an essential skill when living a healthy lifestyle. This project will teach kids how to grow, process and cook foods that they grow themselves. They will be able to share the harvest with thier families and pass on what they learn to continue growing, harvesting and cooking at home. Students will also learn how to give surplus to community agencies in a give back community effort. Grow lights, warming mats and simple shelving show students that they can grow an abundant indoor garden in a small space. Kids will have so much fun learning math, science and social emotional skills while getting hands on experience that will be applied throughout their lives while also introducing them to possible careers.
