For the last 5 years I've been lucky to teach science at the high school level here at La Academia. As an educator my goal is to inspire my students and help them discover the importance of science in their daily lives. My focus is in biology, and I strive to provide my kiddos with varying activities for a hybrid-style learning experience. In my lessons I love using real-world examples and analogies to help them break down key concepts. We are an inner city school here in Lancaster City, and when it comes to our community there are many challenges that my students face both in and out of the classroom. Our student population consists of grades 6-12, and over 40% of our students are English learners (ELs). We also have a similar percentage of students with IEPs. I decided to start this account to try and expand my ability to help provide for my kiddos, and I am grateful for any help in accomplishing that. Take care!
