As I prepare to welcome my first graders back to school, I want to create a welcoming environment that will nurture their academic and social-emotional growth throughout the year! In order to create flexible learning options, I will be using tables instead of desks. This is a fantastic and effective strategy and will enhance options for group work. The students will need the chair pouches in order to keep track of their supplies. I also plan to offer plenty of flexible seating options, such as wobble cushions, beanbag chairs, and soft seats. These materials will help support students as they learn and grow. Specifically, the seating options will allow for personalized learning options within the classroom. Additionally, the beanbag chair will provide a “take a break” option for students who choose to do so. These materials will be used throughout everyday and every core academic subject in my classroom. Thank you so much for considering a donation to my classroom community!
