Everyone knows if you dress and feel good about yourself you will make the most of your day. The same is true with students, it sets their mood. Most students come to school without the basic items to start each day. Toothbrush, deodorant, hat, gloves, coat, trapper keeper, pencils. We have noticed when they have just the basics, it makes them feel good and they are productive in school. Knowing that they smell good, feel clean, have a coat that fits or the school supplies they need changes a student's idea toward school. Instead of waking up feeling like they will be picked on for shoes that don't fit or pants too high on the legs, we take care of that in our "closet" discreetly so that the students or families do not feel out of place. The Scooper Closet is also a place to take care of accidents that may happen throughout the day without the student being embarrassed.
