Many school districts stress the importance of reading and math. Unfortunately, science instruction is being pushed to the side in order to focus on increasing reading test scores. My students need hands-on learning opportunities in science! I want them to love science as much as I do. Hopefully, some of them will pursue careers in science when they are older. I chose items that will expose them to a variety of areas in science. We will use the cart for STEM projects. The animal specimens will be used with our Montessori cultural materials so that they can have a better foundation in life sciences. They love studying the solar system, so the puzzle will be a perfect floor work for review.
