My students need access to headphones and headphones with microphones when they are learning in the library. There are times that the library is very busy and full of students. I need to ensure that each computer has its own set of headphones. When multiple simulations and software notifications are playing it can be highly distracting for students. Our exceptional students are our highest need group. Struggling learners and learners whose 2nd language is English particularly struggle with background noise and auditory distraction. My students must have the proper technology and equipment to allow them to focus on their learning. They want to achieve and be successful but it can be challenging when they are surrounded by distractions. The donation of headphones and microphones will dramatically change my student's learning experience when they visit the library.
