Our students span across three preschool Special Day Classes for students ages 3 to 5. All students have social, communication, and behavioral differences that require special services and supports to access their education. Our students are eligible for special education services with classifications such as Autism, Speech-Language Impairment, Intellectual Disability, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Hard of Hearing. Our students are working on self-help skills, pre-academics, and communication in order to prepare for kindergarten. Our school is located in a high poverty area with families that have limited access to developmentally appropriate toys, books, and activities. Our students depend on school to access these resources and to further their development. The majority of students qualify for free and reduced-price lunch and attend a Title I school.
