I teach 6, 7 and 8 grade students who are in resource reading class in a Texas public school. My students look and act like every other student in the school, but have difficulties reading like their peers. We utilize the READ 180 program to help re-mediate these skills individually for each student. Some are working on phonemic skills, others on comprehension, but all are reading at least 3 grade levels below their peers.
