My students are amazing! They are all in third through sixth grades mainstreaming between thirty to ninety percent of their day with peers. They are eager and ready to learn, but have deficits in social skills and understanding their emotions as well as the emotions and perspectives of others. They successfully navigate throughout my classroom with visuals, my staff of assistants, and reinforcements. Our daily social skills time is important for them to learn about a variety of skills that will prepare them for future years in school and out in the real world. I am passionate about teaching students impacted with ASD/ Communication disorders and helping them find success with reaching goals in both academics and Social/Life Skills.
