Oklahoma is well-known for ranking 49th in the US in terms of education funding. While that fact is quite depressing, did you know we have the most awesome students? I am so blessed to be at the middle and high school where I am the librarian. I have motivated students and parents and am so fortunate to work with an amazing staff. Our school is one of the best in the district. Though our site qualifies for low-income services, as many of our students come from homes with very little money, our school also has some of the highest test scores in the state. We do all we can to motivate and uplift our kids. One way I've been able to do that is through Donors Choose. The materials that have been funded allow my students new and exciting materials in the library media center!
