Students have done a tremendous amount of learning and growing this school year. As students began preparing to demonstrate all of the incredible growth and learning in order to rock the state testing in March, students will need some basic school supplies.
Students will need pencils, pencil lead, and pencil grippers to keep their hands on the Brain Sword that is their writing utensil.
Students will also need some snacks and mints to feed their growing minds and bodies. Additionally, students participate in an online computer based learning program that they need headphones for daily. Often times students' headphones break, or are forgotten at home and thus the classroom needs a few replacement buds for these occasions. Finally, students will also need to opportunity to take brain breaks and move around or exercise their bodies as well as their mind during the long school day.
Throughout the day as students try their best and engage in learning, students can earn behavior tickets. These tickets highlight and encourage students to continue making positive choices. Students then use these tickets to pay for these supplies, snacks, and rewards throughout the school day. They work hard for these tickets so that they can feel a sense of pride in earning their supplies and fun activities as a reward for their positive behaviors. In doing this we hope to prepare our students and build up the hardworking attitude and the grit that is necessary to be successful in a growing global community.
