My students love participating in reading contests! The requested books are part of the the Sunshine State Reader Contest at our school. Students are encouraged to read these books for fun rewards, while at the same time cultivating a love of reading. Since many students want to participate in the program, it is important that we have several copies of the Sunshine State Readers on hand for them. As the students read and pass the quiz for each book, their reading confidence grows! As their confidence grows, they take on more challenging books. It is amazing to see a struggling reader become enthusiastic about books. This program helps each student reach new heights!
