My dream for my dual immersion fourth grade classroom is to implement a reading workshop style language arts block in order to hook students on reading, quickly improve their reading aptitude, and to be able to tailor their instruction to each student's exact level and needs. To do this we need a large classroom library, which is a challenge in a bilingual classroom, as economical Spanish books are so difficult to find. Each student needs to have access to high quality books which are just at her/his reading level and which pique her/his interest. I am so hopeful for success!
