Getting lost in a book is such a joyous experience, and I want to share that joy with my Spanish 2, 3, and 4 students! It is because of this that I am working to begin a well-stocked library, full of novice-intermediate level Spanish novels, that will appeal to my high school students. These stories and books will allow me to give my students more freedom in choosing their own content; therefore, making my classroom a more student-choice centered and engaging place. I hope that the classroom time spent on Free Reading will allow my students to become avid readers while simultaneously expanding their development of language skills. Help me continue my students’ path down the Proficiency Continuum of becoming bilingual and bi-literate.
