When students are able to sit how they want in the classroom, they are able to spend less time thinking about how uncomfortable they are and more time learning. Giving my students a choice will allow them to focus and work more productively. Students need to wiggle, stand, sit, and move when they learn. These seats will make that happen! Flexible seating is a classroom system that gives students a choice about where they sit, and the type of chair they sit on. I would like to have the option for students to sit on the floor using floor seats or wobble cushions, stand up at tables, and move while they work. Chairs that wobble may be hard for a grown-up, but for a wiggly little body, movement is the key to learning!
