My students are the best! Therefore they deserve the best when it comes to what they need in order to be successful learners. My school serves a large number of high poverty/low income students. However, I still have high expectations when it comes to their learning and what they are able to achieve while they are in my classroom. My goal as their teacher is to provide them with what they need and do everything possible to prepare them to be successful and lifelong learners. My students enjoy working in small groups and are engaged the best when they are able to make choices about their learning.
