Middle school children LOVE to talk and tell stories! They don't however, love to read. As someone who has always had a love of books, I sometimes find this hard to understand. I think that they just haven't found a book that they connect with. Books can provide students with experiences that they have never imagined. My goal in this project is to provide exciting and interesting books for my students so that they might learn to love reading as much as I do. I have picked books that hold a special place in my heart, and I hope they will inspire the students as well. I have also included a few classroom copies of several books that will be read as a class so that when students come unprepared to class, they can still follow along that day and still be successful in class.
