Kindergarten students learn the best when they are able to interact with it in multiple ways. When something new is taught I try to show it in different ways for the different learning styles. We use hands on activities, read books about the topic, and we also do some seat work. The one component is the digital aspect. I am asking for a Smart TV so my students will be able to interact with the topic through digital media, watching educational videos about the topic, going on virtual field trips, computer programs and music and movement. We are very fortunate to have an AWESOME Kindergarten curriculum in place but we have not been able to use it at its full potential without having a way to project it for all of the students to see. Having a Smart TV in our classroom will greatly enhance our learning by incorporating technology into our daily curriculum.
