Students will learn to identify, protect, and observe Monarch larvae and butterflies in our own school yard and neighborhood. Students in Grades 2-4 will attend a live virtual workshop to understand the importance of Monarch butterflies, their life cycle and migratory journey, as well as their link to Mexico. This learning experience will provide the foundation and purpose for our proposed school pollinator garden, as well as giving students a memorable virtual field trip experience during these difficult times, and inspiring them to make a difference in our community and local habitat.
