Students will be able to use Storyworks to help them read nonfiction. Often, nonfiction is the most difficult for students to understand. I will be able to use the articles in the magazines to keep students interested in what they are reading. As struggling readers, they need to constantly be motivated about what they are reading. In small groups, students will be able to discuss what they have read, and complete the short questions for each reading. Students will also be able to take these home to complete homework! These wonderful magazines, will emphasize the importance of literacy to succeed!
