In my classroom technology is used as a tool to help students succeed. Many of my students do not have access to technology outside of school. Students have more opportunities when technology is used on a daily basis, including having full access to our math curriculum. There are numerous websites that can be used for reading, math and other subject areas for the Chromebooks. For example, students will be able to use our enVision curriculum materials and they can practice their math skills game based websites such as Prodigy and Kahoot. Some of my students will use apps on the Chromebooks to give them the additional help that they need in certain areas where they are struggling. Our math curriculum is full of interactive activities and supplemental work for them to do. The goal of my project is to help my students reach their math goals this year and hopefully even reach beyond those goals. I feel that there are so many opportunities for learning using Chromebooks. Using the Chromebooks also gives students a different look at concepts. This can motivate students to learn even more than they ever thought that they could. All donations, big or small, will help make a difference!
