My students will benefit greatly from the use of these requested HP Chromebooks. Many of them already have experience using tablets, however, we are seeing students are not familiar with navigating a computer or typing, and having challenges using technology in the upper grades. A dual language program typically has challenges locating resources in Spanish. This will be a game changer for us, as the students can learn by using multiple sources. These Chromebooks will allow students to access alternative forms of literacy such as writing a story, reading articles or developing their typing skills. They will also be able to scan a personalized bar code to access a page suited to meet their academic needs. Students will be able to use Google Read and Write to help develop both of their languages.
