My fifth grade boys and girls attend a Title I school. What that means is that the majority of our students are from low income households that qualify for free or reduced lunch because their families are unable to afford the cost of a simple meal. My students are eager to learn, but they often do not find the help and support they need to do their homework either because their parents are too busy or English is not the primary language spoken at home. However, my students are dedicated to learning and will either come to school early or stay late so that I can provide the help they need.
