My school, formerly Hubbard Elementary School, now Hubbard Media Arts Academy, is a little gem tucked away in a very bad part of east side San Jose. As of the 2016-2017 school year we are transitioning from an elementary school to an elementary and middle school combined. My students are very appreciative fourth graders that love learning and creativity. Though the district and parents give what they can, being a Title 1 school in an extremely low income area, the students still have incredibly limited access to basic supplies for learning. Similarly, they have limited access or exposure to extra curricular activities that add enrichment to their lives. Please help me keep the love for learning alive in their hearts and lives.
