By using these tablets, my students will have so many more opportunities for success in the classroom. At this moment, the only technology I have in my classroom is my classroom computer. I am a Special Education teacher and will be working with small groups of students in a resource room. All of my students are significantly below grade level in reading. I will use the tablets by downloading apps such as Epic! to provide the students with more reading material than I can provide in the classroom. The books in this app can also be read to the student which will meet one of the accommodations for many of my students. I will also use these tablets so that my students can keep up with their AR points by testing on books they have read. Their scores on these tests will allow me to see if they were able to comprehend the material they read.
