I'm requesting these math materials to help address the standards of our second grade math curriculum in a hands on way. These manipulatives will give my students the opportunity to learn abstract math concepts, such as money and number sense, in an engaging way. These materials will allow me to create an active, student centered math classroom. As students rotate through various math learning stations designed to meet their individual needs, these materials will enhance their learning. All 120 second graders in my building will be using the materials in various enrichment and intervention activities throughout the day. Your support of this project would go a long way in making a difference to many children over the course of many years!
