I have 26 energized learners in my classroom. Many of my students are second language learners. About half of my students do not have books at home and the ones that do have books don't have appropriate leveled books. Many of them don't have parents that can read with them and so they need a book that they can read independently and be successful at. They are constantly assessed to see when they move up levels.
