Help me give my students choice and voice in how they want to learn. Traditional chairs can be challenging for first graders who spend longer periods of time engaging in lessons than they did in kindergarten. Flexible seating options allow students to get their energy out and remain focused in their lessons. Students can make a choice to do their reading, math, and writing at their tables while wiggling on wobble chairs and bouncing on a balance chair. During their independent reading time, they can choose to sit on soft bean bags and comfy floor seats instead of rigid chairs.
