In my classroom, my students are the central focus. I build my classroom around their academic, emotional, and physical needs. Students are empowered when they are given choices in their learning and learning environment. By giving my students flexible choice seating, it will encourage them to take responsibility and ownership of their classroom and learning. Allowing students to choose their own seat gives them responsibility to make choices without adult input and will cater best to their individual educational needs. I believe my students feel safe and comfortable, in my classroom, when they see the classroom is designed with their needs in mind.
