My project is intended to help my student reach their full potential. Each year students are required to show growth in both literary and informational text. The problem is finding informational/non-fiction text that students are excited to read. If a student is bored with a book they are more likely to skim read for answers. This does not help them comprehend the text as a whole. Getting kids excited to read non-fiction books is a challenge, and that's where this project comes in. This project is intended to help student develop an interest in informational text, by allowing them exposure to many different topic. This project also includes materials for the classroom (class set of dry erase markers, chart stand) as well as some grammar items.
