My classroom has always been a safe haven and conducive learning environment for students of all backgrounds. The students in my class may come from a low socioeconomic background, but that doesn't stop their thirst for knowledge. They are excited about every class project, hands on learning activity, and every opportunity to learn outside of the traditional classroom environment. I often seek ways to help take what we are learning inside the classroom to new levels and that is what makes them look forward to coming to my classroom every single day. Even students who have had behavior problems in previous years rise to my high expectations and become scholars because I have a no excuse policy in my classroom. If you enter my classroom, your job is take responsibility for your learning and they rise to the challenge. My students are the reason I strive to provide awesome learning opportunities.
