Toys, Books, Blocks and Art Supplies are essential in any preschool! They are a key component necessary to cultivate a variety of skills among preschoolers: Social skills such as turn taking and sharing, cause and effect concepts, imaginary play, language development, motor development, and so much more. My project getting funded means providing a wealth of experiences and opportunities to learn and develop for an amazing group of preschoolers with autism. With access to a wider variety of toys, books, blocks and art supplies, my preschoolers are given many more opportunities and outlets to learn. Preschool is an essential time for all children, but in particular those with autism and other special needs, to build a strong foundation of social and communication skills. This foundation of development and learning has a significant impact and is crucial to their future growth.
