In the world that we currently live in, technology is a very vital factor. The more technology advances, the more benefits it provides for students. iPads will help them read in an easy, fun and exciting way. All leveled books are appropriate for their reading levels, it helps integrate technology into the classroom, and is definitely a great way to reach diversity in learning styles. It gives students the chance to interact with their classmates more by encouraging collaboration, and helps students stay engaged. I will use the iPad for my students to read on-level books using differentiated instruction (they will read according to their level). We use iPads for our literacy learning centers, and they will rotate to do different activities. With technology, the classroom is a happier place. Students are excited about being able to use technology to read and therefore are more apt to learn. The traditional passive learning mold is broken. With technology I will encourage, advise, and coach my students. Technology helps students take more control over their own learning. They learn how to make their own decisions and actually think for themselves. My students can have access to digital textbooks that are constantly updated and often more vivid, helpful, creative, and a lot cheaper than books. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student reading skills in both languages, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. It is very useful in providing more knowledge to our students and also on making them competitive in the job market and prepare students for their future careers and 21st Century skills.
