Learning in a fully equipped 21st Century classroom is essential to a child's growth. They are just being taught ELA, math, science and social studies. Being a product of this millennia means that they are expected to just know how to navigate the information of the world. This is almost impossible without access to technology in the classroom. Our students need to be taught how to use the internet and other computer software to their advantage. In my classroom, I incorporate science with computer science. While they learn about life science, earth science and physical science, they also get to use their knowledge to do further research, create digital graphs and charts that relate to the content. More importantly they learn to differentiate between reliable, accurate information versus unreliable sources. With the support of our donors, my science students will be the next Mae Jemison or Guion Bluford!
