These students will come wanting to learn and do their best! I want them to know that their school and teacher cares about their lives, their comfort and learning styles. I want to utilize the tent as a calming space, reading nook or interactive learning center, equipped with lights and seating inside to really involve their senses. The tent and picnic table will cater to their socialization and small group activities, while also keeping the students engaged. The chairs will be used for whole group activities. I want them to learn responsibility and accountability, to take care of things that they enjoy, all while they are learning in a cool environment that they can remember and have something and some place to look forward too!
