I have a lively and vivacious group of second graders in Tacoma. They come from many different lifestyles and cultures. I teach in a Title 1 school where 75% of our students receive free or reduced lunch. For many of our students, school is a safe and loving place where they can learn and grow without worry. My students love to learn and are always asking questions about what they are learning to try and soak up even more information. They are always willing and excited to learn new things and to be challenged in various ways. Although the neighborhood that many of these students live in can be troublesome at times, they come to school prepared, eager, and ready to learn. My students continue to impress me with their ability to be challenged on a day to day basis and the amount of effort they put into their schoolwork!

About my class
