In my general ed classroom I have a wide variety of students with different learning abilities. ADHD, ADD, Autism, etc and I am always trying to find new ways to keep them engaged and focused. This year, I ventured into the flexible seating arena and my kids love it! I have floor cushions, ball chairs, and crate seats, but some of the options aren't holding up so well. I NEED your help to provide high quality furniture as well as more options for them to try out during their day of learning. Flexible seating allows my students to be active and empowered while they learn! They can bounce, wobble, and rock while they work on many of their daily assignments while staying focused and getting all their extra energy out. I am specifically asking for 4 wobble stools and 3 balance balls as new seating choices in my classroom in addition to what I already have. Flexible Seating offers many benefits in the classroom. It allows students to chose their seating choices daily giving them a sense of control in their environment. Students are also able to feel more comfortable in a seating options that isn't a traditional chair and desk. Lastly Flexible Seating helps build a better community in our classroom because it encourages students to share both supplies and space around them. They are changing seats daily and working with different students of all different backgrounds in diversity and education.
