I am very excited to have been given the opportunity to teach AP Environmental Science this year. I have been starting this program from the ground up. As exciting as it is, it could be more exciting by offering my students hand on lab activities! This lab is the perfect combination of hands on science, technology and education that is guaranteed to get my students excited and involved in the environment. I want my students to understand what is going on in the world around them! Whether it is how to combat climate change to the increased amount of plastic in the ocean, environmental issues are at the forefront of the media. In a world with a 24 hour news cycle I want my students to gain an understanding of environmental concepts so that they can make informed decisions when it comes to their own environmental health, protection, and impact!
