My students have been virtual and away from their friends. Even the students in the classroom have been sitting so far away from each other at their desks. It's not a fun way to keep their attention or have them collaborate with classmates. It's hard for them to build their social skills. Students need social skills. By having these items, they will be able to get out from their desks and sit around the room on comfortable seating that can still allow them to be near their friend and have fun learning but still having their own personal space that can be sanitized for everyone to use. My students will be able to work on their essays and peer-edit. They will be able to discuss passages and break down the parts of a story. They will be able to solve math problems together. They will be able to be comfortable while learning. It makes learning more enjoyable.
