My students are a diverse population with a drive to learn. Our school is a Leader in Me school just outside the Atlanta area with a population of predominantly Asian. Like many schools in the surrounding area, not all of the students are native to the English language. With that being said, our students crave today's technology for communication, exploration, and experimentation. From the "shy guy" to the "class clown," my classroom has it all. However, the best label of all for these students is to be technologically savvy, to be able to learn through doing self-initiated projects, and having the privilege to have access to the world around us. A Chromebook will not only help bridge the gap between the past and the future, but it will serve as a common denominator for all students. In a classroom with much diversity, a Chromebook will truly be the universal language.
