Wonder by RJ Palacio focuses on wonderful themes such as friendship, kindness, and what it means to be "different." Through our class discussions, I anticipate our students picking up on the reality that we are all different, but that is not a bad thing. In fact, it's what makes us unique and keeps the world interesting. As stated before, our favorite quote in this book is, "When given the choice between being right and being kind, always choose kind." We can't wait to watch our students learn how important it is to be kind and put that into action.
