Students have difficulty with the concepts of density, speed, rotation, revolution, and plate tectonics. These concepts are better comprehended when visuals and hands-on activities are incorporated into the lesson. With these lab supplies, students will be able to visualize and experience first hand the concepts and make concrete connections. Students will be able to determine the constant speed of a moving object, apply the formula, and see it first hand using the constant motion toy. Students have a hard time visualizing Earth's processes such as plate tectonics and Earth features. These pictures will enable them to understand the topic. The vivid colors will enhance the experience. The density blocks will provide a hands-on, small group learning experience.
