As one who overcame similar difficulties in my youth, I have a connection with these students, and a burden to help them overcome as well. Dedicated to our district adopted intervention strategy, I hope to instill the importance of being a resilient peace builder within the young minds of my students. My students identify as one or more of the following: English Language Learner; special education; student struggles with reading, grammar, writing and spelling; student suffers from poverty which may include transient housing, poverty, hunger and possibly victimization; frustration with circumstance; lack of awareness beyond local neighborhood or native country.
