The book, Wonder, will make a difference in my students' learning because they will learn new vocabulary words, and it will kick-start out unit on figurative language. The book of precepts will be used throughout the year so spark student motivation. Once we finish the book, my class will also have the option of reading extra stories through the eyes of the other main characters. The themes in this novel teach the importance of acceptance, love and being kind - all values that I want to instill in my students. My class will be able to engage in partner discussions and make thematic connections throughout the rest of the year.
