At an early age, all children learn to speak by listening to the people model words around them. This holds true with the students I work with. The more students engage in conversations, the more proficient they will become in speaking the English language. By setting up a classroom centered around conversations, students will become proficient in the academic language used in the classroom because they are speaking English daily in a safe envirnment.
