These materials will help my students become more engaged in nonfiction texts on two different grade levels. This will allow my classroom to differentiate reading materials based on the needs of my students. These materials will be used in a small group to remediate skills in which my students are struggling that are key concepts to success in the third grade. Scholastic Magazines will be rigorous and offer texts on current events that take place in the world around them. I confidently feel that with the addition of these magazines, students will become more excited to read and become lifelong learners.
