My students come from an under-served community in Northern California where only 28% of the adult population hold a Bachelor's degree. My students attend a public charter school that serves primarily first generation college students. We also serve an above average number of special education students with 14% on Individual Education Plans. Our special education program focuses on inclusion of all students with disabilities which means that my students work alongside non-disabled peers for the majority of their educational career.
