Fun Fridays will be focused and productive with the use of professionally created teambuilding materials. These materials will allow us to use Fun Friday time to practice problem-solving, communication, collaboration in the junior high setting to develop the soft-skills needed for success in the workplace. AVID Elective students will use Thumballs to participate in ice-breakers and disucssion groups. The Learning Maze allows students to practice problem-solving and communication and the running mat will demonstrate the need for teamwork in a fun, active fashion. Junior high students are excited to learn, but learn best when actively involved in the process. The team building materials you can provide through funding this project will help us drive home these skills in a way that is so fun the kids may not realize they are learning!
