This new rug will make it easier for my students to gather in a new location in the classroom that is comfortable. The rug will give my students a place to sit during read alouds, station times, and student presentations. It will also give these wonderful kids a place to spread out, relax, and read a book. This new rug will help me create a more meaningful and positive learning experience. My goal is to create a more at home feel in the classroom and not so much a classroom feel. The new rug will hopefully make that type of classroom environment possible.
